"I was warned big centrifugals were lazy, belt slipping, horsepower eating pigs. Not really the case, and in my application it was pretty efficient as the end of dyno runs only showed a 10-degree increase in IATs through an intercooler. I didn't get any belt slip, nor did we find the larger blower "lazy" - for me I'll stick with Vortech."
